Week 8 at Tsula Adohi – Autumn Semester 2022
This week the weather was absolutely glorious, so we found ourselves trooping out to Bear Creek as often as possible. The students made salamander “hotels” (we learned that salamanders are excellent creatures- they eat so many pests!) and caught crawdads.

Back at White Owl lodge, students played badminton and continued archery. There was a lot of writing this week, with a spontaneous desire by all students to work on a story together, which will be an ongoing project. Next week, we have our falconry event, so one student decided to learn about the physics of flight to create an educational poster board for that event.

On our last day, we all decided to go to a local exotic bird store, where the children were able to learn about Macaws and other birds. October is going to be an amazing month- I think everyone is really excited about all of the events planned and upcoming festivities, which include a falconry event, a Chickasaw Elder guest speaker, birthday parties, and of course, Halloween! “I’m so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers.” Anne of Green Gables
