This is a not-to-be-missed event!

Tsula Adohi Nature School is thrilled to announce that Mr. Robert Perry, a Chickasaw Tribal Council Elder, storyteller, author, and member of the Chickasaw Hall of Fame, will be coming to the school on October 21st at 11:00 a.m. to share stories of the Chickasaw People. Mr. Perry is the author of numerous books about indigenous culture. He is also a member of the Chickasaw Hall of Fame.

“The storytellers of the Chickasaw were and are some of the most revered citizens of the Nation. For centuries, their stories reminded people of who they were, why they existed and where their place was within the universe. Stories, songs and prayers came to life through the power of words. Through them, we can still hear the voices of our ancestors recounting what is sacred and what is history. In days of old, the elders told ancient tales during cold winter evenings within the warmth of the winter house. It was a time of sharing, learning and reflection. But any time was a good time for a great story.”- from Chickasaw.net

This event will be rain or shine. The cost is $10 per family, pay at the door (for the speaker). We will have a limit, so please email amy.eskew@gmail.com to register today! This is suggested for children 5 and over. Call 615-219-9388 if you have any questions.
